Fall is pasta season. The nights are cooler, the appetite is bigger, and Long Island’s Italian restaurants have quietly built some of the best weeknight deals in the region. Here are six worth putting in your calendar. 1. Trattoria Roma — Nassau County Pasta Night every Monday · $18 · 5–10 PM The most dependable pasta night on Long Island. $18 for a bowl that changes weekly — always housemade, always worth it. The “Fills fast” badge on our site isn’t a marketing trick. Get there by 6. 2. Osteria Lume — Garden City, Nassau County Hand-rolled pasta · ongoing Chef Elisa Marchetti spent a decade in Bologna before opening Osteria Lume, and it shows in the pasta. This isn’t a deal night — it’s just how they cook. The rye spaetzle is worth ordering even if you came for something else. 3. Bella Notte Trattoria — Astoria, Queens Buy-one-get-one Neapolitan pies every Wednesday Technically pizza, not pasta — but in the spirit of Italian weeknight dining, Bella Notte’s Wednesday BOGO is too good to leave off any list. Thin crust, wood-fired, and shareable enough for two. 4. Sal & Vine Trattoria — Huntington, Suffolk County Hand-Rolled Pasta Class · $85 · October 13 If you’d rather learn than just eat, Sal & Vine’s pasta class is the most fun you can have on a Tuesday night in Huntington. Chef walks you through the whole process — by the end you eat what you made. Book ahead. 5. Trattoria Luna — Long Island Ongoing pasta menu Trattoria Luna keeps a focused pasta menu year-round — no gimmick nights, just consistent cooking. Worth bookmarking when you want Italian without the event. 6. Juniper & Rye — Cobble Hill, Brooklyn Rye spaetzle with brown butter and crispy sage · New this fall Not a traditional pasta and not technically Long Island — but close enough in spirit and close enough to the borough line to earn a spot. The house-milled rye spaetzle on Juniper & Rye’s new fall menu is the most interesting grain dish we’ve eaten this season. The B&S Take: The best pasta nights book up. The $18 Trattoria Roma Monday is the one most likely to leave you standing outside — go early or call ahead. For everything else on this list, walk-ins are generally fine on weekdays before 7. All deals verified as of October 2026. Availability may change — check the restaurant’s page on Bites & Sip for updates.
