About Saffron House

Saffron House celebrates the regional cooking of India through a contemporary New York lens. Fragrant biryanis, slow-simmered dals and dishes from the charcoal tandoor anchor a menu designed for sharing, while the cocktail list layers tea, spice and fresh fruit. Founder Anika Mehra created a jewel-toned Gramercy dining room that feels festive enough for a celebration and gracious enough for a Tuesday dinner. Every table begins with a changing trio of house chutneys.
